About This Program

What You'll Learn

Course Description

Our Karate program follows traditional Shotokan-style training that builds far more than physical skill. Classes open with etiquette and warm-up, then move through the three pillars of karate: kihon (basic punches, kicks, blocks and stances), kata (choreographed forms that teach precision and memory), and kumite (controlled sparring). Students progress through coloured belts via formal grading examinations.

Beyond technique, we teach the philosophy and discipline at the heart of karate: respect, self-control, perseverance and humility. Children gain focus, confidence and respect for others, while adults build practical self-defence ability, stamina and mental resilience in a structured, supportive environment.

FAQ

Frequently Asked
Questions

Still have questions? We're here to help you choose the right program for your journey.

01From what age can my child start?
Children can join our kids batch from age 6. We keep younger and older children in separate groups so training intensity and discipline suit their age.
02Do I need a uniform or equipment to begin?
Beginners can train in comfortable clothing for the first few weeks. Once you commit you'll need a karate gi, and sparring gear is introduced at intermediate levels.
03Is sparring safe for beginners?
Yes. Beginners focus on kihon and kata first. Kumite is introduced gradually with protective gear, controlled contact and close supervision.
04How does belt grading work?
Gradings are held periodically and assess your kihon, kata and kumite. With regular attendance most students grade every 4-6 months, earning a recognised certificate at each level.
